Occasionally feeling excluded from the close mother-child relationship after the birth of his son, photographer Fred Hüning decided to capture the intimacy between son and girlfriend in pictures. The project "New Life" began in 2007 and is planned to be completed on the day the boy starts school. For his exhibition at FENSTER61 the artist specifically selected photographs that were taken in his Prenzlauer Berg flat, making it a continuation of his series "8 sq. m.", which was also showcased at FENSTER61 in early 2007 and was "set" entirely in a flat in Schöneberg.
